Hello Senior Parents!
Your 2027 Yearbook staff is just getting started on this year's book and I am excited to see what they come up with! For those of you who chose to have senior portraits taken with Smile Pro, you are all set and don't need to do anything - the photographer will send us the pictures you choose. Please be sure to make your selections with them by Dec 1st.
For those who have chosen other photographers, please upload the picture via this form. Please upload the portrait no later than Dec 1st: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfD7xcRlQbri6noGitsHcLyxi088eyMoMCmwHEoG7rjE73Org/viewform
Soon we will open up yearbook sales and the staff will be asking for baby photos, throwback pictures, etc. So for now just be aware that we will be looking for those contributions sometime in Dec or Jan.
All sales will be done online via the publishing company once sales open. We will send a link at that time. The deadline to purchase will be mid-May.
Each student will have the opportunity to create 2 free personalized pages unique to his/her own book. That's a great place for family photos and other moments you wish to commemorate! Those pages are due by mid May to allow time for printing.
The yearbook is published after graduation so memories of those senior week activities can be included in the book. You will be notified in early July that the books are available for pick up in the main office at that time.
If you have any other questions or concerns related to yearbook, please feel free to reach out to the yearbook advisor, Emily Costa at ecosta@douglasps.net.

Hello Douglas Community!!
We hope to see you this weekend for Homecoming.
Please see this week's UPDATE for more information: https://app.smore.com/n/w9yr3

Hello Douglas Community,
Due to scheduling conflicts, there will be no Unified Basketball practice tomorrow.
Our first practice will now be held on Tuesday, September 22nd at 3:15 PM in the Middle School Gym. The first game is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, October 1st. We are just waiting for final confirmation from the opposing Athletic Director, and I will send out more information once it is confirmed.
We are still looking for additional students to participate as Unified partners and play alongside our Unified athletes. This is a great opportunity to get involved, meet new people, and help make Unified Basketball an awesome experience for everyone!
Unified partners can also earn community service hours for their participation. No basketball experience is necessary, and we would love to have more students join us.
If you are interested in joining or have any questions, please reach out!

We are excited to get our Unified Basketball season underway! Our first practice will be this Thursday at 3:15 PM. The location is still being finalized, and we will send that information out as soon as possible.
Our first game is right around the corner on Tuesday, September 22nd!
Right now, we have a very limited number of students registered, and Coach Beauchimn and I would love to see more students get involved. Unified Basketball is a great opportunity for students of all abilities to compete, have fun, make new friends, and represent Douglas.
No prior basketball experience is necessary, and there is no cost to participate. Whether you have played basketball for years or have never played before, we would love to have you be part of the team!
If you are interested, please register through Arbiter/FamilyID as soon as possible and plan to join us Thursday at 3:15.
Please help us spread the word and encourage students who might be interested to come out and give Unified Basketball a try!
We hope to see you Thursday!

This year can be a busy one with lots of memories. If your senior is planning on going to college, please join us for Financial Aid Night on Thursday, September 24th at 6:15PM. A representative from Curry College will be present to give the college side of what to expect when applying for Financial Aid.

Hello Douglas Community,
Happy Labor Day Weekend, I hope you get to enjoy a couple of days this weekend.
