Dear Parents and Guardians,
Spring sports officially began today, Monday, March 16, and we are reaching out regarding our high school baseball program. At this time, the number of students signed up for baseball is very low. If participation does not increase soon, there is a possibility that we may have to cut the program for this season.
We are encouraging any students who may be interested in playing baseball to sign up as soon as possible. Players are welcome regardless of ability level or previous baseball experience. Our goal is simply to provide students with the opportunity to participate, learn, and be part of a team. If your student has any interest in playing, please register through Family ID and attend practice.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
Thank you for your support in helping keep our baseball program active.
Sincerely,
Jarred Stand
Douglas Athletic Director

Hello Douglas Community,
Please check out this week's UPDATE
Several new headlines this week, so please check out what we have going on.

Hello Douglas Community,
The weather has struck again and will force us to pivot. Out of an abundance of caution, ALL after school activities will be cancelled today.
Our Girls Basketball Game is rescheduled for tomorrow night at 6pm. We will also be hosting our Program of Studies Night virtually at 5:15pm. Here is the link to attend the meeting: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/81518293119
If you can't attend virtually, this meeting will be recorded and sent out to the public with my weekly update.
Thank you and be safe on the roads

Due to the Girls Varsity Basketball Game here at the High School tomorrow night and the Program of Studies Night being scheduled at 6pm, we have decided to begin the Program of Studies Night at 5:15pm so that parents and families can see the game in its entirety.
Myself and the Counselors will be available for anyone who has any questions after the presentation concludes and we will be in the DHS Auditorium until 6:15pm for anyone who can not make the new time.
We'll See You Then.

Now that the worst of the weather should be over, we have rescheduled a couple of things.
We will be holding our Program of Studies Night on Tuesday, March 3rd at 6pm in the High School Auditorium. This event will go over the classes and opportunities for our students as they register for classes next year. This also provides an opportunity to ask questions about the process and next steps.
Additionally, our Spring Sports Night will be held on Wednesday, March 4th at 6pm. This gives everyone the opportunity to meet the spring coaches and ask questions.
We hope to see you all there

Hello Douglas Community,
**NEW Date and Time** The High School invites you to our Program of Studies Night being held in the High School auditorium on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 24th AT 6PM IN THE AUDITORIUM. This will give you insight on the courses and pathways offered at the high school as well as how the course selection process works for your student. There will be a chance to ask questions after the presentation and we look forward to seeing you there.
