National Honor Society

Monthly Meetings
National Honor Society meets every month with additional meetings as needed.  All members are required to attend.  Monthly meetings are scheduled for 2:00 PM on the first Wednesday of each month.  Meetings last between 30 and 40 minutes.

Community Service Obligations
NHS members are required to complete 10 individual hours of community service each semester.  In addition, they must complete 10 group service hours for the year.  A PDF version of the Community service form is posted on the NHS Google Classroom page.

Application Information
In order to be eligible for membership, students must have a cumulative, weighted GPA of 92.0 or better and be going into their junior or senior year.  The requirements for the application portfolio were distributed to interested students in April and also emailed to all potentially eligible students.  Copies of these informational packets are also available in the main office over the summer.

June 27, 2022
Letters mailed home to notify candidates of their eligibility.

August 2022
Candidates will be emailed reminding them of their eligibility and application due dates.
September 8, 2022
Completed portfolios are to be submitted to Ms. Braney no later than 2:00 PM.  Applicants have option to submit digitally or provide a physical portfolio.
Late September 2022
Interviews will be held and membership determined.
October 18, 2022
NHS Induction Ceremony - 7:00 PM
