National Honor Society

Monthly Meetings
National Honor Society meets every month with additional meetings as needed.  All members are required to attend.  Monthly meetings are scheduled for 2:00 PM on the first Wednesday of each month.

Community Service Obligations
NHS members are required to complete 10 individual hours of community service each semester.  In addition, they must complete 10 group service hours for the year.  A PDF version of the Community service form is included here:

Application Information
In order to be eligible for membership, students must have a cumulative, weighted GPA of 92.0 or better and be going into their junior or senior year.  The requirements for the application portfolio were distributed to interested students in March and emailed to all potentially eligible students.

Informational Meeting with Potential Candidates 

Monday, March 25, 2019
Potential Candidates emailed an electronic copy of all Application Forms
Late June/Early July 2019
An official letter will be mailed home to notify candidates of their eligibility.
August 2019
Candidates will be emailed reminding them of their eligibility and application due dates.
Wednesday, September 11, 2019
Completed portfolios are to be turned in directly to Ms. Braney no later than 2:00 PM.
Late September 2019
Interviews will be held and membership determined.
Wednesday, October 23, 2019
NHS Induction Ceremony - 7:00 PM
